Pasting in the AdsenseTM
Code
Format your ad blocks
Go to the Adsense code set up page and
adjust the style of the ads which will show on your pages.
You can choose the shape of the ad block, text and background color.
There are various approaches to building successful adsense monetized
pages.
Factors to consider:
Web users have largely become "blind" to
ad blocks down the right of web pages.
Experiment with other positions.
Some people say that ads on the left of pages work better because we
automatically see these when we scan the page from left to right
- The appearance of the ad block
Ad block colors should fit in with the
color scheme of your site
- Putting
ads to the left of a page works much better than a column of ads down
the right of a page.

Pasting the code
This is the
tricky bit, unless you follow this procedure.
- Copy
and paste the adsense code into a Word Pad document
- Put
a row of xxxxxxxxx where you want the ad block to appear
- InNetscape
Composer switch to <HTML>Source view, by clicking the tab at the
bottom of your screen
- Scroll
down until you find your row of xxxxxxxxx
- Delete
the xxxxxxxxx and paste in your Adsense code
- Repeat
for every page where you want the Adsense code to appear
Checking the page look
Use
Core FTP Lite or another FTP program to upload your updated pages to
your website.
Just overwrite the old versions of the pages.
Log out of the FTP client.
Log on to your pages using your normal Internet browser.
Check the pages in Firefox and Internet Explorer.
